Ridgewing Dragons live just below the snow level on the upper slopes of mountains. They are a friendly, playful breed and enjoy dancing in wind currents near their homes or plummeting down into valleys from great heights. Their wings, by far their most striking feature, grow in fin-like ridges along their backs. While their bodies lack markings to blend better with their surroundings, a ridgewing’s wings have bright markings in the colors of the flowers that grow in their mountain habitat. Occasionally different-colored individuals can be found, but they are rare because their striking coloring offers little protection.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Incredibly friendly and very cheerful, Salvanth is easy to love, and there are few things he loves more than his home on the alpine meadows. He loves the bright little flowers, he loves the crisp air, and his greatest joy is soaring up on the refreshing winds and swooping freely over the high peaks and deep blue lakes of the alps. Above all, he believes in relaxing and being merry.

Unfortunately, he's a bit of a coward. He rarely strays from the safety and peace of his homeland, and while the unknown intrigues him, it also makes him uneasy; out there are perilous lands, deadly beasts, dragons who would do harm, and he'd never want to trade that for the beautiful mountains. He tries to avoid any dangers, and when it confronts him, he flees.

But he makes up for this with boundless loyalty; he would take any risk for one he loves, or at least stay by their side. Why would he so eagerly listen to his friend Dojinth's tales or accompany her on adventures if he did not love her so deeply
