Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s very festively colored.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Marzie, like any Ribbon Dancer, loves Christmas ribbons and loves to dance.  Unlike other members of her species, however, Marzie hatched without any ribbons on her back or tail.  At first this made her sad, but then she realized that her lack of natural decoration was an opportunity for creativity.  She ran around gathering poinsettias, pine cones, holly, and as many other symbols of Christmas cheer as she could find.  She proceeded to arrange all of these things into a beautiful bundle and tie it to the end of her tail.  It made her so happy that she danced around all day and even when it was time for bed, she still continued to twitch her feet and tail and danced through all of her dreams.  She was still dancing when she woke up the next morning, and even to this day she has not stopped.
