Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Etienne is a true knight—well a dragon actually who upholds a knight's values if you want to get technical. He is honest, brave, and heroic. He only has one problem: a true knight should slay dragons. It is kind of required if you look at the stories.

Etienne hopes that one day he will meet a dragon so obviously evil that he will be able to live with himself if he vanquishes him. Then maybe—just maybe—he will become a true knight with all the accomplishments.
