Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Once there was a little black dragon who lived in a very dense jungle. This black dragon was deathly afraid of all of the cobras and boas that had gobbled up all of her brothers and sisters. Constantly on the lookout for anything that posed a danger to her, the black soon realized that if she listened hard enough, she could hear the snakes hissing or their scales slowly sliding against stone. It was with this discovery that she was able to survive; as long as she was listening closely, she could avoid being snatched up. Even after she grew too big for the snakes to pose a threat, she jumped up and ran away if she heard even the faintest sound of hissing. Many dragons love pranking her by hissing softly in her ear and watching her scurry away. And though Reflex Runner dislikes her name, she is absurdly proud of her speed and agility.
