Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

A stranger once walked around a guild with a black egg in sleeved arms. The egg was often kept under the stranger's cape or robes for warmth. Every day the creature within the egg could hear the sounds of chatter and music beyond its delicate walls, and each day those sounds and noises grew stronger. The dawn finally came when Frode chipped his way out of his egg, chirping and squeaking and chittering. He met many people and heard many voices afterward and learned to imitate those sounds. He even learned to chirp particular tunes, some so well that they lived on into adulthood. Frode nowadays spends his time happily hunting food and humming tunes to himself with that unusual dragon's guttural voice. He has become a willing fighter and a loyal companion, for he was well raised and well protected in his youth, and at night guards those brothers who cannot keep themselves awake.
