Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Cilitres is a Magi dragon who left home because she was never cared for. Being a quick learner, she taught herself to hunt and fight, as well as taking tips from a friendly passerby or two. One day, she was chasing a deer when a Speckle-Throat approached her and told her that sneaking up on prey is easier. She decided to try it out, and, to her surprise, she managed to catch the deer. She thanked the stranger for telling her, who left immediately after.

One day, she was wandering through the same forest when suddenly, a human attacked. Cilitres defended herself with magic, but she was left terribly wounded. The Speckle-Throat came back, and found herbs that would help heal her, as well as human bandages that he wrapped on the wounds the human inflicted. Afterwards, the Speckle-Throat asked if Cilitres wanted to join a tribe. After what just happened, Cilitres knew she needed as much backup as possible.
