Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Vindilous is a female Skywing dragon, the mother of her strain within her great cave. She is a swift, serious flier, a little above average in speed and maneuverability. She also has claws of a slightly greater length than most dragon's, and wings tipped with nastier points. She is well-known for maneuvers with her tail-from knocking out a foe's eyes to strangling them and slitting their throats with the razor points at her tail's tip. She knows best how to use her breed within combat. <br/>As a character, she is somewhat above average in intelligence, not a great tactician outside Skywing dragons, and normally leaves the raising of her eggs to other dragons, instead tutoring Skywing hatchlings. She makes little real attachment with her children, or other companions, and has never been seen to show emotion even when one of them falls dead from the sky. This makes her a deadly fighter, if not a wonderful mother-she leaves that part to her daughters.
