Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon... except for the tangle of dangerous-looking vines surrounding it...
Now there are even more vines. Perhaps something is happening?
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.
User Description
"Denk An Mich" ("think of me" or "remember me") insists that its vines are not dragon grass but forget-me-nots. It is not quite sure why, but has probably to do with the shock of being abandoned as a hatchling when the parents found out that their little one would never grow up because of a genetic illness due to inbreeding. The hatchling was picked up by a Vine Dragon who was too young to have eggs of her own, but who knew a few older dragonesses who did not mind adding one more charge to their care. From that moment on, there was no more risk of ever being alone for Denk An Mich, as the other hatchlings soon found out that vine thickets are perfect for playing hide-and-seek.
