Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Silver females eat meat only when a male dragon brings it to them as part of courtship, though they are typically highly-independent. They possess an almost magical aura that lights up any place they are in, and are looked upon with awe by humans and animals alike.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Irsen is thought to be quite the good luck charm. Wherever she goes, lost things are found, sick dragons are healed, and everything always works out the way it should. The catch is that the amount of luck in the world is finite, so that the good fortune she brings means bad luck for someone else. After the son of the gravely ill dragon who had just spontaneously recovered was killed in a freak hunting accident, Irsen realized the dark side of her gift and vowed no other dragons would be affected. Though many dragon settlements encourage her to visit, Irsen finds ways to politely decline all of their invitations.
