As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Eminira is a very strong female. She is a wise, young, and beautiful dragoness in search of a strong mate. She does not approve weaklings and says, she's "lookin' for a real man". The hatchlings find her a little confusing with that phrase, thinking how she's looking for a human, but nobody's brave enough to ask her about it. A very small number of female hatchlings actually look up to her, and a very big number of male hatchlings are scared of her and are always careful when she's around because she makes sure she gets those boys in line and teaches them discipline. Older males are not any braver either; she can certainly gain respect.
