Canopy Dragons love to soar above the tropical jungles and other densely forested areas. Their billowing, layered wings create generous lift that allows them to ascend effortlessly over the warm jungle. While their unique wings do not make them the fastest flyers, they are champion gliders. To further this end, dexterity, maneuverability, and grace are all judged by the females when selecting their mates from the males that can accurately complete the exhausting and elaborate courtship dance between the close growing branches of the upper canopy.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

One Of The Canopy Colors is a strong yet angry dragon for the way he was born since it was from a reckless mistake of his parents, One Who Lives In The Tree Tops and One Whos Scales Are The Rainbow, because he wasn't ever supposed to be born. For One Who Lives In The Tree Tops, angry at his real mate for mating with other males, he flirted with the young and naive One Whos Scales Are The Rainbow and mated with her. He then bragged about it and after reconnecting with his mate, ignored One Whos Scales Are The Rainbow even after she told him that she was pregnant with his child. The poor dragon raised One Of The Canopy Colors hiding who his father was till his half brother, told him out of his anger and hatred for their father. Crushed that his father wanted nothing to do with him he attacked him and nearly killed him only to have his father pull him off him and roar in anger. Because of his own father he wishes to be as good a father he can be as well as a good mate to One Who Roars Fire.
