Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It gives off a glow that lights up the cave.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Sternschnuppe was the first rare dragon Sora ever caught on her own. He is a very kind and affectionate little guy, always curling up on Sora's lap for some extra belly rubs.

Unlike the other frozen hatchlings, Sternschnuppe can't fly very well. He never quite managed the magic adult Silvers use to stay airborne, so he tends to fall out of the sky whenever he loses his concentration. Luckily, he never gets hurt, since there is almost always another dragon ready to catch him.

His name, Sternschnuppe, is the German word for "shooting star"—very befitting for the shiny dragon that often falls from the sky.
