Ochredrakes are a curious species with a wide array of mutations and interesting behaviors. Not as intelligent as normal dragons, they only breed with other drake species. While they may not be bright, ochredrakes are flamboyant and fun-loving with amazing, chirping voices to sing with, and tame readily in the presence of a gentle hand.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

As a hatchling, Aria was the most rambunctious hatchling Nurse Puffles had ever seen! She never started fights, but she was always getting into trouble, falling out of trees, hiding from the poor Nurse and her assistant, Baird. Aria never meant any harm; she just had a lot of energy for a hatchling. Since then, she is still very spirited and strong willed, but she puts that energy to good use by going out and collecting food for the entire clan, a job that would drive any other dragon in the clan to the brink of insanity, what with so many different preferences and tastes and allergies (yes, dragons have allergies, too). She's been Darkhorse Yearling's cheerleader since she was old enough to communicate and Rosette Featherling's best friend since even earlier, and is trying her hardest to get her two friends to get together, but Rosette still only has eyes for the fickle Ronnie Sweetling, though she's already been shot down twice. Aria hopes to find a mate eventually, but not too soon.
