Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The current resident loner of the brood, Elathan Fomor greatly enjoys his privacy and hates it when the rest of his brood mates invades upon his alone time. For this reason he is very glad that he is by nature a nighttime dragon and uses this fact to his full advantage. Because of his loner nature, most of Elathan's brood mates sees him as a bit of a snob. In reality, Elathan is anything but a snob. He's just an introvert who hates it when people think he needs to "break out of his shell." This is especially true with Azure Lazurite, who Elathan finds to be very annoying since the other is always trying to "encourage him to be more social."

Surprising, Elathan gets along best with the little pygmy dragon Solis Stella despite her closer relations with Azure. The both of them would be seen flying the skies at night and hunting for prey with one another.
