Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

SmoothSkin is very self-conscious about her scaleless skin, it doesn't help that her name brings attention to that. She has this weird idea that will give her scales. Most dragons believe that JokerFin gave this idea to her but JokerFin denies it. She has been told that if she eats the thorns of a rose once every month for ten years she will grow scales. This is not very painful for her because she has coated the inside of her throat and stomach with a magical blue fire that StrangeEyes made for her. So far she has been eating the thorns for five years, StrangeEyes took pity on her when she found out but did not want her to think that the five years had been wasted so, on the tenth year, StrangeEyes will do a spell that causes scales to grow on her and SmoothSkin would of finally gotten her wish.
