Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Redeyed Blackhorn, often called RB, is the first Albino ever to reach Zuca's scroll.

With eyes red as fresh blood and horns black as the darkest night, RB is the soul of the morning, with sickly pale skin, a long, dull-tipped tail and a neck that cranes up to the sky to sing with delight at the bright sun rising in the East. Long, bat like wings grace this creature with stunning abilities. It appears RB can touch the sun—he flies so high, he is not but a dot in the far distance.

RB refuses to fly at night, and is typically dormant during the dark hours of the day. Of course, he does not get along with the Black dragons of Zuca's scroll—they tend to fly only at night, and RB usually gets in heated arguments over whether the Morning or Night is better.
