Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Experimental genetic strain carrier. Vampire dragon designated 'X' had been one of many vampire dragon eggs stolen prior to hatching that had undergone developmental experimentation by dragons unknown to alter the genetics of the species. The goal was so that the species might breed normally in hopes to spare eggs from their parasitic method of reproduction as it was believed that the first and original vampire dragons were not always a parasitic species and were once a race of regular dragons, hence the male and female genders despite gender being unnecessary for reproduction.

Unfortunately, genetic tampering or some form of unknown third-party interception resulted in an unknown pathogen producing within the subject. This pathogen spreads throughout the subject's body and seems to overtake all cognitive functions. Toxic growths all over the subjects skin, not unlike various fungi, spread to individuals in close proximity. X, now classified as a versatile infection, has gone missing.
