Pink Dragons are primarily herbivores and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan’s young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Amalene is a dragon with conflicting desires. She has always wanted to be a parent, yet she and her only daughter has never been close. She could, of course, take another mate and have other children, but seeking out the right partner is often no easier for dragons than it can be for humans. Amalene is selective about potential mates and has yet to find anyone she is truly compatible with. There is only one notable exception: Selemanth, an orphaned black hatchling who took shelter in the then-sparsely populated cave. Amalene provided much of Selemanth's care as a growing dragonet and supported the younger dragon through her decision to remain in perpetual childhood. They are as close to one another as any two dragons related by blood, and with her adopted daughter as a part of her life, Amalene no longer feels such a pressing need to choose a new mate.
