Antarean Dragons are peaceful creatures shrouded in mystery. They are primarily found in the desert where they get most of their energy from sunbathing. Their most notable traits are their highly reflective manes and the mysterious light emitted by their scales which fades from bright, nearly blinding yellow-white into dim red as the dragons get older. Legend claims that they are otherworldly beings that came to this world when a meteor struck.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

De Rae is a large group of Antarean Dragons that live in the southern coastal deserts of Galsreim. Although individuals of the group are generally friendly towards humans and other dragons, their origins remain shrouded in mystery. Their bloodlines trace back hundreds of years, and legend has it that the oldest members of the group are of extraterrestrial origin.

Of the many old dragons of De Rae, Arabelle is the oldest, as visible by her dim, deep red scales. Unlike the other elders of De Rae, who greatly enjoy telling stories and legends from their youth, Arabelle is rather aloof. However, she is devoted to her family and always seems to be around when she is needed most. There is a universal respect and awe for her throughout De Rae that cannot be denied.
