When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Geldredis lives in a small pond she insists on referring to as "lake", which lies in some ruins. There she dreams about being a big and terrible ocean dragon, scaring sailors to death. Too bad for her that this isn't the case. Her body growth even adapted to the small pond, resulting in not more than a tall worm. She is very proud though, and usually tries to scare the scarce visiting dragons away, and with success. The only dragon she regularly talks with is the red dragon Helisquinde, who sometimes visits Geldredis by night and reads aloud heroic tales about princesses, sailors and foul dragons. Helisquinde and her mate Erlhar are Geldredis' big examples, for they can be pretty scary, putting up big shows with flying boulders and firebreathing.
