Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Reflections of Tides is one of the older males of the den; he has witnessed it grow as he has aged alongside his "littermates". However, unlike Shatter Rival and Mistress of Elements, he prefers only his own company. Often he will be seen roaming around the large pool of water outside the den in the bright moonlight, admiring the stars' reflections in the silent water. If he feels like his personal space has been encroached on, he'll fly up to the peaks of the nearest mountains, and hide out there until the Scroll Holder calls for him.
