It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ficloh Jacloh Thuwed is a dragon of the Thuwed dynasty. She enjoys playing with Churya and Hasinah, the other Purple dragons of the cave. She is often portrayed as a fun-loving, mischievous dragon. Often, many humans and dragons alike have inquired what her name means, to which someone had responded; 'Fihfco is Saurian for purple. Jacloh is Saurian for silver. Ficloh Jacloh's great-grandparents were Purple and Silver, and, rather than naming the dragon Fihfco Jacloh Thuwed, her master, tinakhal, chose to morph the names together, and thus, Ficloh Jacloh Thuwed got her name.'

    Many people, and dragons, often make the mistake of calling Ficloh Jacloh, Fihfco Jacloh. She is very ill-mannered, with a bad temper, so when she corrects them, she corrects them in a rather rude manner. But FCT (her nickname given in tinakhal's general cave), is rather generous, and loving, regardless of her bad manners.
