When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Cirdan is rarely seen in the Cave. He is one of few Water Dragons that live in the Sea. His last name, Earendil, means 'Sea-lover', a name he earned when he had just matured into an adult dragon.
He had always had this strange feeling of not belonging, a feeling that he was not complete. Like a part of his soul was missing. Then one day, he heard the calling of a white seagull, and suddenly he knew what would make that odd feeling go away. The Sea!
He had no chance of getting there by himself, but several of the other dragons helped him. They lifted him up gently, and after several days of flying they reached the Sea. He finally felt whole.
The seagulls are his friends, and he often sends them as messengers to let the other dragons know he is alive and well. A few times he comes to the nearest shore to visit, and most of the dragons in the Cave flies to the shore to meet him (except the young and the wounded, and those who guard them).
