Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Soot Spider was found as a young hatchling by the other reds of the tribe in an old abandoned library, starving and frozen half to death. The reds, led by Dichroic, had come to the library on a dare. Everyone believed the library to be haunted and stayed far away while the reds were unimpressed. The library might seem haunting to a less fierce breed, but the prideful reds had no trouble at all keeping their cools. All was well until a small and smoky black creature skittered out from under a chair and up a wall. Rumut just about peed himself and Aider almost squished the thing in fright. But fearless (oblivious) Primid walked up to the critter and picked it up. "Why, it's just a lil' ol' red!" she exclaimed. And that it was. The abandoned red had accidentally scared off everyone who entered the library. He had tried to keep warm by hiding in the embers of the fireplace, coating his scales in soot. The reds warmly welcomed the red and gave him his name in honor of their first meeting.
