Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Solizavi (in ancient draconic, her name literally means "daydream") loves giving humans the appearance of insanity.  She will torment them with horrible visions, and when they try to warn others, they end up in a mental institution.  Solizavi also has managed to start a small cult worshipping her, and no longer needs to hunt, but has the gullible humans bring sacrifices to her.

     Solizavi sees the war as an opportunity to gather followers, and have even dragons serve her.  She was the first to suggest to Toranin the idea of a ruling council, which would potentially consist of Toranin, Solizavi, Sidia, Nimbocu, and Isciore.  Solizavi was one of the few dragons that actually enhanced Toranin's hatred of wingless dragons, by suggesting that their place in the new empire would be as servants.
