Pink Dragons are primarily herbivores and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan’s young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Born between a rock and a hot place, Ellilara has an affinity for the hardiest, farthest, and most remote places on the planet, which would be a problem for most Pink Dragons. But not Ellilara, a dragon gifted with the gab, and incredible social skills that can flatter and appease any dragon.

Ellilara gets her company from roaming dragons, rather than a clan. This can be a hard life, but she finds it enjoyable, as she never sees the same face twice and has learned to appreciate the sparse company all the more. Even grumpy dragons who encounter her find her enjoyable, and as a result, she rarely feels neglected. She forms intense bonds to single dragons, who might even become her mate during mating season if the mood is right.
