Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ecario thinks of himself as a leader. Although defensive at first, he'll warm up to you if you give him time. He is a good fighter, but does back away from fights he thinks he can't win. He is especially fond of Mivario, who he has known since they met as babies. He'll joke around usually, but knows when something needs to be taken seriously. He rarely leaves Mivario's side.

He hatched in an abandoned castle where his parents once lived. It is thought that he was simply abandoned, but no one knows for sure. Sometime after he hatched, he crawled through a hole in the wall and ran into a forest, where he met Mivario and managed to survive. He still lives in this forest to this very day, usually either hunting, sleeping, or messing with Mivario.
