Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

According to legend, Trenzealore will be the doom of an ancient nameless hero. For years he ignored it and took an alias to escape prejudice, but remained recluse. If he never met the hero, the prophecy could never be fulfilled...

Two seemingly ordinary dragons stumbled onto the ice field he calls home on a seemingly ordinary day -- an enigmatic Solstice and a manic Whiptail. Neither gave names but they were friendly enough, so he welcomed them into his lair to escape the cold. But they had enemies, and within days the glacier was filled with hostiles. And suddenly Trenzealore understood. He made a spectacle of the bloody "hides" (polar bear skins imbued with magic) of his guests to busy the hordes while the pair fled to safety.

As reclusive as ever, he constantly wonders about them. He still considers them his friends, and often fantasizes himself running beside them on some amazing adventure. But a small part of him is still terrified that he has only delayed the inevitable.
