Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Crossbones Silver was always a tomboy growing up.  She is best friends with the now infamous pirate, Luffy D. Aquahepta, and together they were the two founding members of the Phantom Pirates.  In her spare time, Crossbones likes pranking the rest of the flock with the local zombie dragons and exploring haunted houses, graveyards, ships—you get the idea.  On one of her explorations, Crossbones spotted Will O'Wisp in a shadowy little bar one night and it was love at first sight!  Though really, Crossbones isn't the lovesick sap her mate often takes her for.  After all, those ingeniously placed threats of abandoning him if he were to, say, betray the flock, aren't empty by a long shot.
