Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lanmola, the Vampire dragon, felt an urge to bite during Halloween. So he sneaked upon Corpse Hunt and Inferno Fury's newborn egg, and cracked the fragile shell with his fangs. Then he silently flew away.

The next morning, Corpse Hunt discovered, next to her, the newly infected vampire egg. She screamed in sadness, and Inferno Fury immediately knew who was responsible. Lanmola was the only Vampire of the clan at this time. Soon, the hatchling came out of the egg: it was a female, and Corpse Hunt decided to call her Nightmare Serenade. She goes by the nickname Seren.

She feels close to Lanmola, but she can't remember why. He just told her he's the closest one to her and that's all she knows. She can't understand why Corpse Hunt and Inferno Fury look at her with teary eyes.

One day, Shoroneko brought an egg from the desert. Seren felt her fangs burning her, and without understanding why, she bit it. She had to: now she is Lanmola's partner. Now she must spread the vampirism.
