Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Livid Embers used to be a fearsome, arrogant dragon warrior who destroyed, killed, and conquered simply because he could. He believed that pure power determined a dragon's worth, and that the weak were to be exterminated from the world. He believed that he was doing the world a favor by destroying and ending the innocent.

Livid Embers went to destroy a full dragon's nest, one night, and found his path hindered by a female Guardian. She fought Livid Embers and protected the eggs, despite the fact that they were not hers. Even at his full power, Livid Embers could not defeat the she-Guardian. Upon his own defeat, he demanded why she cared about things as weak as eggs. She calmly told that all life is precious in it's own way, power or no power. All life begins somewhere, and then it grows. She stated that he, too, had been an egg once, just as she had, as well.

Since then, he has traveled with Eldest Ice, helping others in any way possible to make up for his past cruelty.
