Ridgewing Dragons live just below the snow level on the upper slopes of mountains. They are a friendly, playful breed and enjoy dancing in wind currents near their homes or plummeting down into valleys from great heights. Their wings, by far their most striking feature, grow in fin-like ridges along their backs. While their bodies lack markings to blend better with their surroundings, a ridgewing’s wings have bright markings in the colors of the flowers that grow in their mountain habitat. Occasionally different-colored individuals can be found, but they are rare because their striking coloring offers little protection.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Crawleigh is, quite honestly, a rather troubled dragon. On the bright side, she's a good, loyal friend and a great partner to her mate, Crawleigh's Wife. She's great fun at parties, and has a high social status because of her parents. You can always tell when she's nearby, because of the jingling of the golden bells that she wears on a red collar around her neck. However, she can sometimes be a little too loyal. She can be clingy, and a little bit too nosy into other dragons' personal lives. For instance, if she thinks that something's fishy with one of her friend's love life, she will get to the bottom of it. And, if the situation turns out to be not-so-good, she's not very adept at breaking the news gently. In fact, she's really quite blunt: "Jenny, I'm sorry. They may never give you up, let you down, run away, or desert you, but they are, unfortunately, two hatchlings in a trench coat."
