Sophrosyne Dragons are a rare sight, typically making themselves known only to protect and heal the vulnerable. A visit from one serves as a reminder that kindness prevails, and that there’s always hope for positive change. While it is known that they possess the power to reverse botched spells, some claim they can even cure methodically-cast curses. This has never been formally documented, but these dragons have been seen arriving in the aftermath of violence, and the scars of tragedy seem to heal faster in their wake. The feathers of a Sophrosyne have thus become a symbol of perseverance and light in the face of darkness.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pretty Soul the Rightous used to spend her time traveling the world vanquishing demons and righting wrongs. Her strength and her charisma attracted her mate, Blazer the Shy to her. He spun a tale of woe, how his family was ostracized for being different, and all they wanted was to be left alone so that they could build themselves into a strong dragon family that cared for their own. Pretty Soul could not ignore their cries, and when she listened to the females who talked of having a camaraderie, of never having to be nervous that their mates might stray, Pretty Soul decided to champion the way of life to her home cave despite her parents objections.

She truly loves Blazer the Shy but she is naive. There is more to this family then meets the eye.
