Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys swimming in a nearby pond.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Having met many adults during its journey, this young one decided that growing up was waste of time.  One could get just as knowledgeable as an adult without having to age any, so growing old is not a necessity, as far as Filliscent is concerned.

Besides, one can hide much easier when one is smaller; and the critters in the sea tend to not be frightened away as easily when one is smaller, as well.
