Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has a pink cloud that follows it everywhere. You seem to be having more difficulty concentrating since it arrived.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

DriftBloom only opens her eyes during breeding season, once every year. When she does, her eyes are like flowers blooming. She tells the beginning and end of breeding to her dragons. When it's not breeding season, she drifts away in the wind with her cloud. She also chews her shiny chew toy unconsciously when drifting. When she is awake, she doesn't blink. She walks (she hates flying) and falls her face flat  every time. Most of the time, people or dragons don't see her normally.
