Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Excessively fond of both oversized swords and spiking up his head scales, this dragon has always been something of an odd duck as far as sunsongs are concerned. Fortunately his eccentricities are balanced out by a kindly heart and sense of justice, leading him to develop a small albeit very close group of friends. These companions often accompany him on adventures involving such things as magic crystals, evil energy corporations, and giant yellow birds (few of which have actually been found, but which he always insists exist), quests the dragon pursues eagerly and relentlessly--unless they encounter any small creatures holding both knives and lanterns, at which point he screams and flees in the opposite direction.
