Spitfires are a desert breed of dragon. Their dull brown bodies contrast with their brilliant turquoise markings, and they only blaze brighter when these dragons fight. Spitfires are notorious for their territorial natures, and the wing-edges of most are ripped and tattered before their first year is out. Spitfires are also noteworthy for their brilliant blue fire, which is used not for hunting or fighting, but rather for making glass caves from the sand, in which the dragons can soak up the sun.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Sir Pyyran isn't quite sure what he is. He's never seen another Spitfire, ever, and due to this he's suffered a bit of confusion. When Speed Raider the Whiptail saw his egg, it looked so similar to a Whiptail egg that she adopted it, hoping that the creature inside would be the apprentice that Little Raider wasn't. However, she was surprised to find that Pyyran was something else altogether. He matured quickly—his species grows and matures much faster than Whiptails—and he came to see himself as one of them. There were no male Whiptails in the cave, and so he came to think that he was the male of their species.

As such, he is extremely protective of Speed Raider and Little Raider; he and Speed Raider have even mated several times. The Whiptails admire his bright markings, and he loves showing off to them, showing his bright blue fire. He is renowned for his intensity and loyalty, although it extends only to the Whiptails of the cave.
