Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Phom is convinced that all dragons are bound by either the huge silvery moon or the smaller reddish one. No dragon is free of both of them. And it's incredibly important that a dragon knows which lunar body binds his destiny because the phases of said moon will control the luck and fate of each individual. Phom has worked out a complicated system that takes into account the breed, gender, circadian rhythm, and various other factors to determine a dragon's patron moon.
