Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As a small egg, Ester Tailithe came down with softshell, and was abandoned to die by her owner. When adopted by another, she was freed from her ailment, and hatched into a healthy baby dragon. When she was old enough to understand what happened, she wanted to save others' lives the way hers was (she disregards how small the case of softshell was). She studied how to cure various illnesses, thanks to the mentoring skills of some white dragons. She hopes one day to travel around and help many dragons, but for now she stays with her mate, who would worry tremendously about her if she ever left, and her son.
