Valentine eggs are only seen once a year. Adults’ mating seasons are very short, usually spanning a few weeks in the mid-to-late winter. These dragons were once reputed to be omens of good luck in love.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kickaz Pink is a broken-hearted dragon. When she was young the world was full of joy and wonder and she explored every last corner of it with her "twin sister", Big Love in Small Package. But then one day the incident happened. A human came and grabbed the squealing Love, and before Kickaz could even react a blinding glow of light flashed from its hands and Love was suddenly subdued. They discovered gradually that Love was set to never grow and would always remain a baby. It was horrible for Kickaz to watch the sad creature lying on the ground, or when she clumsily tried to follow her on tiny wings that barely provided any lift. As much as Kickaz would love to hate humans, it's against her nature, and every Valentine's Day she still sets out to spread happiness, the kind she'll never truly get back.
