Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Galon Tan (Fire Heart in Welsh) is one heck of fiery lady.  She takes nonsense from no one and if anyone tries to take advantage of her she tares strips off them.  All this and she is stone deaf. As dragons are able to communicate with each other telepathically it doesn't cause too much of a day to day problem but can be an issue in an emergency as she cannot hear howls, screeches or other warning sounds from other dragons. She herself can make very little sound as she cant hear herself.  Sometime other dragons try to take advantage of her disability but they soon learn not to do it again.  She has mastered sign language and teaches it to deaf dragons and their families at a local school.  Sometimes referred to as 'The Deaf Shrew' she never lets anyone get away with insulting other deaf dragons and is not a lady to be messed with.
