Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ifeth was the first dragon the Ixcalia received from the caves. It was feared, at one point, that she wouldn't make it through, but she managed to survive her hard hatchling years. Ifeth quickly became friends with the bouncy Fiyiceth, though she was a bit competitive with Xequeth. She is a free spirited, easily excitable dragon that spends all the time she can in the air. Ifeth long since vowed that she would only eat fish, so she tends to receive strange looks from the other dragons, but she holds true to her word. Since her growth, she has assisted Ixcalia in taking care of the hatchlings and eggs in her care when she is able, and usually takes it upon herself to teach them how to fly once they get their wings.
