Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Dawn of Desire is the embodiment of the dawn; she is joyous, beautiful, and bright. The other dragons delight in Desires presence. Her personality is infectious, and she brings light wherever she goes. Desire thrives on the warmth of the sun, and the light of the day. While her body and mind are connected to the light, her heart truly belongs to the darkness. A forbidden relationship was born between her and the mysterious dragon of the night, Shrouded Enigma. Separated by the great expanse of day and night; the two can only meet during an eclipse, when bright light blends with shadowy darkness. So great is their passion when they reunite, that the colors of dawn and dusk combine together into a beautiful display, colorful lights known to humans as the Aurora Borealis. When they are apart, Desire paints the dawn sky with soft lavender, cheery orange, and bright yellow, as a tribute to her beloved.
