Deep Sea Dragons, as their name suggests, spend most of their time in the darkest depths of the sea. They have a bioluminescent dorsal spine that serves to attract prey and communicate with their own kind. As with many deep sea animals, they generally eat whatever they can manage to bait. They rarely leave the ocean floor, surfacing only during breeding season. When they do choose to travel to the shallower depths, they avoid bright lights and will only come up far away from shore.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Oignon, or "Onion" is a male dragon with a great love of the ocean, and a fierce and tenacious personality owned by user Lodgegirl. He is true to his favorite mate, Orageux, another one of Lodgegirl's dragons and their first baby together (82Cs) grew up to be an amazing deep sea dragon owned by popular user Golab. Orageux and Oignon are thought of as the Power Couple, and their silent but strong personalities work out perfectly for each other, as does the fact Orageux mostly hunts at night and Oignon is sensitive to light and prefers the dark, deep sea. Oignon and Orageux are sure to produce many more impressive offspring in the future. Keep a look out for Orageux flying in the sky near the sea with mate Oignon and their babies during mating season! You are lucky to get a peek at the impressive dragon, because he only surfaces far out in the sea at dark during mating season with Orageux.
