Hiawatha Blackie spends her days brooding over the newly laid eggs and hatchlings of the Hiawatha clan. What she does an after sunset is unknown as she always retreats into the dark alcoves of the cave only to re-emerge at sunrise. The hatchlings regard her like their mother and all enjoy the outrageous stories she tells them of the legendary Nox Warrior Ninjadrumstick! The Nox Warriors are a society of supreme black warrior dragons that carry out their missions during the night. Ninjadrumstick however is a chicken warrior, which the hatchlings find hilarious and equally absurd. Unlike the chickens of DC, Ninja is black, can fly as high and as fast as a black dragon and has super sharp talons instead of claws. During storytime Blackie impersonates Ninjadrumstick and re-enacts her brave, daring battles. Because she is so convincing as Ninjadrumstick some of the hatchlings believe she really is Ninjadrumstick that she carries out her missions each night when she vanishes into the cave.
