Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Espiya is very well-known to all the dragons of Zuca's cave. At first, he was widely unaccepted but he has eventually managed to weasel his way into many dragon's hearts. Though Espiya can often be ill-tempered, bossy, and easy to dislike, he is also kind and forgiving and understands the way he is. In return, others realize that he never means ill of anyone.

After a while, he led the other dragons of Zuca's cave as their leader when their current cave was demolished by an expanding neighborhood. This gave him a higher title, being as he took the position openly. He is always looking to prove himself because he feels assumptions based on his breed, the Magi, is quite unfair. Though everyone has erased their personal premonitions he is still met daily with arguments. His personality clashes with many others, but the conflicts are quickly resolved. In the end, Espiya is prized and loved among the members of Zuca's cave.
