Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is very aggressive, and has brilliant turquoise markings all over its body.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Bluetip Kaisniss is a frozen spitfire dragon. As an egg, she was harshly dumped into the abandoned pile by a clan that didn't want her because she was 'common'. Paragon II, one of her current clan's dragons, rescued her from the pile, where her egg had been partially shattered by the careless dragon that threw her in. She was weak from the beginning, struggling to walk, struggling to communicate, struggling to fly. The other hatchlings laughed and made fun of her, and she suffered constantly from the injuries that were inflicted on her by her past clan. She sought refuge in Grand Knight of Lenghuar, a fellow spitfire that took her in and raised her like the daughter he never had. He discovered that she had an excellent talent for planning strategies, and he knew of her immense intelligence and wit. And although Bluetip Kaisniss will never become an adult due to those wounds early in her life, she can always be assured that no matter what, she will always be loved and cared for.
