Waterhorse Dragons received their name due to their horse-like physique and endearing behavior. They are capable of surviving out of water, and when on land their skin secretes a gelatinous goo to retain moisture. However, their large paddle feet are better suited for swimming, and waterhorse dragons tend to move very awkwardly when on land. Waterhorses are very friendly dragons and enjoy playing with humans.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Youthful Radiance is a shy and quiet dragon. He is very thoughtful and never says or does anything to make anyone other then himself uncomfortable. He will go out of his way to make others happy even if it hurts himself. Most of the dragons find his self sacrifice and shyness endearing and pleasant. Almost every dragon is on friendly terms with him. One problem with this though is that he is not willing to admit his love for Never Beginning, a female Water Horse. He loves her with a deep rooted passion but Never Beginning is fiercely independent and hates when males approach her. He is not willing to risk their friendship by admitting his feelings for her. He also knows it would make her fiercely uncomfortable and he cant find it within himself to hurt her like that. One thing that hurts him also is when he sees Frothy Surfs endless flirting with Never Beginning. He wishes he had the confidence to display his feelings so openly.
