Alcedine Wyverns are large, colorful dragons found all over Galsreim. They are highly active and become bored and fidgety with nothing to do, so much of their time is spent travelling. Alcedines are quite speedy on the wing and rarely bother to land until they reach their destination. Because of their speed and navigation skill, Alcedines are sometimes sought by humans looking to have items or letters delivered to faraway locales. Many Alcedines will take them up on it for the right price, and it is not uncommon for Alcedines to have a small hoard of jewellery in their dens or rings on their horns.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Othergeist, like many other Alcedines, has taken up the mantle of courier, though why is a mystery. He seems to loathe his work, demanding higher payments than fair and haring off to his destination with a speed borne of spite rather than responsibility. He gets the job done, but is unpleasant to deal with -- despite this, his efficiency means that he's quite popular for delivering foodstuffs. Especially baked goods.

The scents of pastries, jams and fresh bread have seemingly soaked into his feathers, announcing his presence as much as his grumbling. This irritates Othergeist, but no amount of bathing and scrubbing has freed him from the smell. Pygmies and drakes often follow him when he's near the weyr or nearby towns, curling up against his sides when he's waiting for a job, much to his great annoyance. Nicking a roll or tart is, apparently, worth invoking his ire.

Preto Osso has taken note of his ability to get the job done, and has been keeping a very close eye on him.
