Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Silver females eat meat only when a male dragon brings it to them as part of courtship, though they are typically highly-independent. They possess an almost magical aura that lights up any place they are in, and are looked upon with awe by humans and animals alike.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sylvarya longs to bear a mate an egg—but not just any egg, a silver egg. Long ago she forfeited mating for life, since her first mate couldn't provide her with what she desired most. Since then, she has chosen many mates, and borne them many hatchlings, but still, no silver egg. One day, or so Sylvarya believes, she will meet the right dragon, but until then her hopes are slowly fading that she will ever be able to continue the lineage of the magnificent silver dragons.
